No more ulstrasounds...or so I thought! :)
Went in yesterday for our weekly visit and Strep B test. Still only dialated a little over a cm. Man, I thought for sure it would have been at least 2 or 3 OR is that expecting too much?? LOL! That's ok, this baby is going to come or not come when it wants to. I'm thinking I'll have to be induced...which will hopefully be the last week of this month (21 days to be exact). :)
Sunday and Monday s/he didn't move that much and I was telling my dr about it. I wasn't concerned that anything was wrong but she wanted to do a biophysical profile and measurements to see how much baby weighs. We scored an 8 out of an 8 so that was excellent and our approximate weight is 5 lbs 15 oz right now, which is in the 40th percentile. The baby was laying on it's belly so the measurements of the stomach took forever and still weren't quite accurate so we might actually weigh a little more. At the rate we are going right now we will have a 7 or 8 lb baby on our hands...if they wait until the end of the month to come. So if s/he comes right now we will be doing excellent in our weight class. I personally think about 15% of the weight is in his/her cheeks...I LOVE IT! How blessed are we to have 2 kids with big, sweet cheeks!? I never in a million years thought I'd have kids with big cheeks but here we are and I love it!
The picture above is of him/her sucking on their bottom lip. I framed this one...just so sweet!
We've got that infamous arm wrapped in front of our face.
Boy or Girl?? I am dying to find out! My guess.... A BOY! If it is a boy he will have 5 friends that are boys that are all almost the same age...1 born in July, 2 born in September and 1 (possibly 2) born in November!!!! Every silly thing from the Chinese calendar to which direction the wedding ring spins on a string all say GIRL...so we'll see if Rhett's strong, family boy genes are able to produce a girl. LOL! I think once he/she is born Rhett will put on a pink or blue shirt and go out in the lobby to share with our family and friends the exciting news. Hopefully a nurse will be kind enough to follow him out with our video camera and film him telling everyone...I've been waiting 9 months for this and I wanna see everyone's reactions too!! I thought about making everyone wait until they came back to the room to find out but that would just make everyone have to wait even LONGER. haha! We decided we will allow family to come back to L& D to meet baby and then have friends come up to our room once we are settled in...kinda like we did with Reese but everyone had to come then. One silly thing I look forward to most is holding Reese without this BIG belly in the way! Bless his heart he wants to cuddle and lay with me and I just can't bare it anymore. Anyone touching my belly button (or what's left of it) makes me want to scream and yell in pain.
21 more days!!!!!!!!
