34 w 6 d

Wow, I cannot believe August is almost here! Never thought it would be here...this only means one thing! BABY TIME!!! Seriously only 5, well...4 weeks left. I say 4 because my dr said she would induce a week early which I have absolutely no problem with. I believe this baby is cooking just fine and if s/he decides to come before then...well it's out of my hands and in God's. Tomorrow I will be considered 35 wks and they won't stop my labor for sure.

Today's visit was rather...boring. LOL! My measurements after laying down for an ultrasound of the baby were up to 2.5. So that means the numbers have gone up a tad or they went up because I had been laying down (baby wasn't putting any pressure on my cervix). I was like...serious!? After a day full of contractions off and on and the numbers have gone up a tad! I would've thought the opposite would've happened. That's ok...baby is getting comfortable and doesn't want to go anywhere and that's ok too. The last thing we want is a baby to be born early and have to be in the NICU with problems. AND if this is a boy...his lungs need to keep on developing. Which, if you ask me...my thoughts from now until s/he is born is that it is a boy. And you know what? That is just fine with me...I'll be just fine with whatever sex God blesses us with. If it's a girl, well we get to experience a whole new world of raising a child and if it's a boy...Reese will have a playmate the same sex and will HOPEFULLY grow to be best friends with! I know, far fetched dreams...right? I secretly hope not.

I updated my blog about my goals. I am so proud that I have accomplished so much over the past few months! However, I would not have been able to accomplish some of them without the help of my wonderful husband who has put up with me barking orders at him and constantly asking him to move this, get this down out of the attic, put this together, pick this up...LOL! I love him so much and appreciate his help MORE than he could ever imagine! It's getting harder these days to want to and to physically bend over to pick things up, much less bathe my child, get him dressed, or pick him up and put him in the bed. It wears a woman out! I also owe a huge thanks to my Mom!! She has come over to help with not only Reese but painting as well! I would've never finished Reese's room if she hadn't helped. She has also been watching him during every dr visit and I am SO incredibly thankful for that (and so is Reese)!!! I don't know what I'd do if she had a job and had to work.
Well, now that this weekly blog has turned into a novel I better stop typing. Oh yeah, our (Rhett's) next project we (he) is working on within the next few weeks is ripping up our carpet in the den, entryway, hallway and bathroom and putting in hardwood floors...I AM SO EXCITED!!! No more nasty, stained, flat, rough, germ infested (that's how I feel anyways) carpet. That's Rhett's last major project (other than putting together the crib) so I'm sure he's happy about that. I think he's secretly excited about the floors too...aren't ya hunny?  :)
Next dr visit is gonna be interesting...hoping for a little bit of progress...is that ok???
