Thoughts that provoked me to write this blog comes from Lucy's blog. I have never met this family, nor do I know much about them. But what I do know is that from reading this blog day in and day out, Kate is the strongest woman full of faith, love, strength and a heart the size of Texas all for her family and for our faithful God (I gather all of this from reading all over her blogs each day). I will not go into detail about little Lucy's recent diagnosis of brain cancer, if you read her blog you will learn all about their family, who Lucy is and what a great mom she has for blogging about her illness. She blogs her prayers to God, verses in the bible that help her to make it through the day, letters to Lucy and all about Lucy's health and how their day went. I ask if you are reading this then please hop on over and read Lucy's blog. Then I hope that you will fall to your knees before our gracious heavenly Father, asking for Him to ease Lucy's pain, heal her, bring her back to the smiley/ happy child her mom described that she use to be before her surgery; pray that God will give Lucy's parents & family strength- strength & endurance to simply make it through each day, strength to fight, fight like heck to beat this cancer, and strength to make it through this extremely hard time. (I know I mention the word strength alot because I'm thinking that if I were in her position I know that that is what I would probably need the most.) We also need to remember the doctors and nurses that are taking care of Lucy, they need prayer too. They have an important job!! Pray God lays his hands on them and works through them to heal her. GO LUCY GO!!!
There are other ways you can help this family out. They are having fundraisers, selling tshirts & bracelets, and will have a 5k race all to raise money for Le Bonheur and St. Jude. What will you do to help?
