Have you ever?

Have you ever been laying in the bed, praying in the dark, right before you go to bed? I have many, many times...I must confess. The latest time I did this was on February 2nd. I thought about so many people whom needed prayer & then I was just simply thanking my God for my many blessings that he has so graciously given to me and that was all she wrote. A good nights sleep later and I'm up and getting breakfast ready for everyone and doing my morning duty of washing bottles. Meanwhile, I'm reading my daily quote and bible verse for the day (yes, it sits in my window sill above my sink so I will read it remember to read it every morning). This was the quote/verse for February 3..

"Falling asleep in prayer is no problem. You can rest in God's presence. Besides, next to the heart of God is a good place, a safe place, for sleeping."  Richard J. Foster

"May Your unfailing love rest upon us, O Lord, even as we put our hope in You." Psalm 33:22

I love it! Resting in God's presence...no other place better than that, huh? Not that I intend on falling asleep when I pray from now on, but it just allows you to "rest easy" knowing that you are resting in the presence of God. AND is it coincidental that my devotion the day after my "sleeping while praying spell" happens? I think not! This is the 4th time I have done something or had something happen and the next day I have read my devotion and it has taught me a lesson or it has helped me to revolve my day around that verse. Thank you Mom for my devotional book & thank you Jesus for your precious love that is unfailing. I know that one day I will be resting right next to you in Heaven, AHHHHH what a glorious thought! (which reminds me of a song I love...till He returns or calls me home, here in the power of Christ I stand). LOVE IT!

Ok. Good night all! May you rest easy in the presence of our Lord, knowing that you are in a good, safe place!
