Reese's 4 month check-up

Yesterday, on September 8th we took Reese for his 4 month check-up! I was so sad to even put him in the car because he was all smiles and so playful...I knew where we were going and what was going to happen. It really made me cry. Reese was weighed and measured once we got to the dr. He weighs 15lbs 6oz and is 25 3/4 in long. He is in the 50th percentile for his weight (see, he's not as big as everyone thinks he is) and for the circumfrence of his head and in the 75th percentile for his height (he's gonna be a tall boy!). His dr said he looked wonderful and is doing a great job developing with all of his milestones, etc. Then came time for the shots, Rhett held his arms down and I stood to the side and watched. (Thank goodness Rhett comes with us cause I don't think I could hold him down) He had the first one and didn't do anything, then as the nurse got the second one he started to scream. I don't think we've ever seen his face get that red! He screamed and cried alot longer than at his 2 mos check-up. Rhett got him all dressed and we went home. Later that night Reese tried cereal for the first time. He loved it!! I can't wait to feed it to him again! By next week he may be eating baby fruits and vegetables! He's growin up too fast!

He has been so playful and his normal smiley self since yesterday, but has been running a fever of about 100 degrees. We are so thankful for him and all that he is capable of doing (smiling, laughing, grabing objects & hands, rolling on his side, standing with our help, to name a few)...we look forward to seeing the many milestones he will accomplish in his lifetime!
